Who we are

Created in April 2015 The Lens team is developing. Diverse, knowledgeable and with a strong focus on supporting you, it will respond and change over time.

Steve McCreadie - CEO

A finalist in the IoD Director of Year Awards 2015, Steve has a distinctive combination of operational management, business development and senior leadership experience. A Masters in Leadership complements his practical experience. Steve created and designed The Lens to engage third, public and private sector partners to develop ‘intrapeneurship’, new ideas and new opportunities.

Steve has created and led award winning services, and delivered many innovation and change projects. He has held several senior roles including Executive Director.

Steve is passionately committed to improving the lives of people in communities.

Jane Whitworth - Lens Developer

Jane brings a blend of consulting experience and a rich understanding of the third sector. Prior to joining The Lens, Jane led the development of the Cranfield Trust in Scotland. She has extensive experience in strategic problem solving, managing change and supporting both teams and individuals to achieve positive change.

The combination of developing ideas and developing people attracted her to The Lens and she will play an active role in supporting and developing intrapreneurship across our partners.

Megan McAlear - Business Support

Megan is a recent graduate of Stirling University where she obtained a First Class Honours Degree in Human Resource Management. Megan has a strong interest in organisation development and supporting intrapraneurship. Her background includes work in the retail and third sector.

Her role is to support the delivery of The Lens Programmes and support the smooth running of the organisation.  

Iain Delworth - Project Manager

Iain currently works with The Lens two days a week as our Project Manager. Whilst not working at The Lens he is the Head of Operations at TEDxGlasgow and runs his own consultancy; Delworth Consultancy. He brings a wealth of project management experience as well as a deep understanding of the third sector.

His role is to help project manage The Lens Programmes, develop the infrastructure that sits behind the programmes and help manage the comms work of the organisation. 

Bob Keiller - Delivery Partner

Bob is Chair of Scottish Enterprise and one of Scotland’s leading, internationally renowned business people with many awards and accolades.

Bob is a highly accomplished public speaker, and a leading exponent of the use of business storytelling, having used it to great effect to win multi million pound contracts in the oil and gas industry. Bob is a much-valued member of The Lens team, providing his time on a pro bono basis. He delivers Business Storytelling Workshops for our intrapreneurs and Values Based Leadership Workshops for our partner CEOs and senior leaders.

Entrepreneurial Spark – Delivery Partner

Entrepreneurial Spark has revolutionised the support system for business start ups in Scotland and has an enviable reputation for the success the new businesses who benefit from time in their hatcheries.

Every new business requires investment and Entrepreneurial Spark are expert at training people to pitch for investment. Entrepreneurial Spark are one of The Lens strategic partners and share our mission to create intrapreneurship across Scotland. Their team share their pitching expertise with The Lens allowing us to offer our Intraprenuers the chance to improve their pitch from the experts.
